What are experts saying about the next 5 years in home buying?
When deciding whether to buy a home or not, there are so many things that you have to take into consideration, but have you considered what the future may hold about that purchase? While we don’t have a crystal ball, we do have some experts we can look to for a peek into what may be coming next.
House prices, despite the negative headlines and news articles, are continuing to exceed expectations and are rising across the country. Experts are now saying that they predict that in the next 5 years the value of your home is going to continue to appreciate.
Over 100 economists, investment strategists, and housing market analysts were polled for Pulsenomics “Home Price Expectation Survey”, and it found that in the next 5 years home prices and appreciation of home values will both be on the rise. Lately so much talk is in people waiting for the housing market to crash or waiting for interest rates to drop, however, if we can take anything away from this survey, it is that it is far more likely for interest rates to drop, but not home prices.
Of course, house prices are going to vary by local markets, however, experts are predicting that the prices will keep increasing, which will also aid in levelling out house appreciation at a more normal pace. There can be so much power in buying in the long run!
If you’re ready to become a homeowner, know that buying today can set you up for long-term success as home values (and your own net worth) grow. Let’s connect to start the homebuying process today!
